Black Rock Forest is supported by the annual dues of its member institutions, grants from foundations, government organizations, and corporations, and gifts from individuals. The Consortium has obtained grants for facilities and programs from leading foundations, including the National Science Foundation, the Kresge Foundation, the New York Community Trust, the Arthur Ross Foundation, and the Ambrose Monell Foundation. We are deeply appreciative of their support.

Last year's ride was a great success: it netted some $59,000 for the Forest's education programs and was a lot of fun. You can also help support the volunteers and Forest Crew who work on projects such as building bridges, planting trees, and trail and road maintenance in the Forest.  Matthew and Benjamin Brady, who grew up in the Forest as the sons of Forest Manager John Brady and Administrative Assistant Barbara Brady, are attempting to hike the 2200-mile Appalachian Trail this summer, along with Matt's dog Rogue.  They wanted to use their hike as a way to support Black Rock Forest by seeking mileage sponsors; if you would like to help, please download this pledge card.
