Housing Resources The Stone House
It has no electricity or running water: lanterns or candles provide light, fireplaces provide heat, a well with a hand pump supplies drinking water, and nearby, two port-a-potties.
It has eight bunk beds and sleeping mats that can be placed on the floor for at least a dozen more overnight visitors. There is a minimum-impact camping area near the Stone House, adjacent to Tamarack Pond, for groups of up to 50 visitors provided they have demonstrated the ability to camp without leaving a trace of impact. The Stone House and camping area are available for overnight use to Consortium members for $5 per person per night and must be reserved. |
