Friends of the Forest, you are invited to our third annual “Friends Only” event at Black Rock Forest!

Meet the staff, talk with our scientists, and explore the beauty of BRF while hiking during peak leaf season. A series of short talks given by Black Rock Forest Consortium scientists will be available at different locations as you hike. Upon arrival every attendee will receive an outlined map to help guide them to our speaker locations and enjoy treats and donuts from Jones Farm! Speakers will be stationed around the Forest and attendees will begin at the Science Center and may choose the order in which they visit scientists to hear their presentations.*

*In the event of heavy rain this event will be held on Sunday, October 9th. Space is limited to 30 registrants per session. A signed waiver is required.

Instructions: We recommend dressing in layers to account for varying temperatures throughout the day. Hiking boots are critical for wet/muddy trail conditions during the fall. Bring drinking water and a snack if desired, insect and tick repellent are recommended. An email will be sent to registered participants prior to the hike with parking information and additional arrival details.

This hike is free for Friends of the Forest (annual supporters). To become a Friend of the Forest please visit our donation page.
