Black Rock Forest is happy to welcome back
Jackie Skrzynski for a silent walk on June 24th!
Silent Walk on the New Moon
Tuesday, June 24 · 7:15 – 9:15pm
About this event
Silent Walks create an unfiltered experience of landscape as art. Rather than seeing representations of landscape in a museum, far from the actual land depicted, viewers physically move themselves through what they were observing. Contextualizing the Silent Walks as an artistic experience allow participants to “turn on their art light”. Attendees will meet in the bus parking lot and walk to Aleck Meadow Reservoir pausing briefly, then proceed back down to parking lot as the darkness of the evening descends.
What to Bring/Wear: Drinking water, a trail snack if desired, comfortable, waterproof boots suitable for hiking, insect/tick repellent. Please dress in layers as temperatures vary, especially in the evening, in the Forest.
Details & Arrival Instructions: The hike is in Black Rock Forest (Cornwall, NY). An email will be sent to registered participants prior to the hike with parking information and arrival details.
Free for Friends of the Forest (annual supporters).
