Former Artist in Residence Jackie Skrzynski is back again this fall for another Silent Walk in Black Rock Forest!

The Silent Walks create an unfiltered experience of landscape as art. Rather than seeing representations of landscape in a museum, far from the actual land depicted, viewers physically move themselves through what they were observing. Contextualizing the Silent Walks as an artistic experience allow participants to “turn on their art light”. Attendees will meet in the bus parking lot and walk to Aleck Meadow Reservoir pausing briefly, then proceed back down to parking lot.

What to Bring/Wear:  Drinking water, a trail snack if desired, comfortable shoes or boots suitable for hiking, insect/tick repellent. Please dress in layers as temperatures vary throughout the evening in the Forest. Event details and arrival instructions will be emailed to all registrants the week of the event.

Free for Friends of the Forest* (annual supporters); General Admission: $10.00. RSVP required
