Black Rock Forest is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing scientific understanding of the natural world through research, education, and conservation. We steward a 3,920-acre forest and scientific field station in the Hudson Highlands—just 60 miles north of New York City—and collaborate with a consortium of universities, schools, and cultural institutions to foster scientific inquiry and deliver educational programs for K–16 students, teachers, and the public.
